Trans Diaries

A Storytelling Theater Project Celebrating Trans Lives

We are seeking written submissions from transgender and gender nonconforming individuals who are ready to share their lived experiences — stories of resilience, identity, struggle, survival, joy, and truth.

This is a call for raw, honest narratives that reflect the complexity of what it means to be trans in today’s world. Your story might speak to moments of silence or survival, to celebration or defiance, to family, transition, belonging, grief, or love. Whether it’s a letter, monologue, poem, personal essay, or journal entry — if it’s real, it belongs here.

Over the next year, selected submissions will be woven together into a live ensemble theater performance, honoring the depth and diversity of trans lives. This performance will debut in 2026 as part of our continued commitment to centering trans voices and truths on stage.

We welcome and encourage:

  • Submissions about personal experience, identity, and transformation

  • Stories that honor those we’ve lost or uplift those still fighting

  • Exploration of joy, rage, resistance, and healing

  • Sensitive topics (including trauma, mental health, and survival) — shared with consent and care

All contributors must be 18+

Submissions will be accepted through Wednesday April 1, 2026

Please keep submissions to no longer than 8 minutes

Selected works may be adapted for stage with the writer’s permission and with support from our creative team. You may remain anonymous or use a pseudonym if you prefer.

This is more than a performance — it’s a collective testimony.
Every voice matters. Every truth is valid. Every story deserves to be heard.

Grief touches all of us—and in our LGBTQI+ communities, that grief is often intensified by isolation, discrimination, and the lack of safe, affirming spaces.

Senior Pride and Fluxx are partnering to establish a supportive, intergenerational grief group for LGBTQI+ community members (age 18+) navigating all forms of loss—especially during these uncertain times.

This space is designed for connection, being witnessed without judgment, and healing. Facilitated by members of Senior Pride and Fluxx, and grounded in compassion, this peer-led group welcomes individuals of all genders, identities, and lived experiences.

Come as you are. Whether you’re deep in your grief or just beginning to unpack it, you are welcome here.
