About Us
Our Mission:
Fluxx empowers LGBTQ+ communities, with a special focus on Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (QTBIPOC), through arts, activism, and mutual aid. We create safe and inclusive spaces that celebrate diversity, amplify marginalized voices, and inspire social change, fostering collective liberation and community resilience.
Our Story:
Fluxx Productions began with a bold and transformative vision rooted in Tucson’s queer community. In 2002, Boys R Us was founded as the very first gender performance troupe in the state of Arizona, bringing together drag kings, queens, and performers from across the gender spectrum. More than just entertainment, these shows became a groundbreaking platform for visibility, raising awareness, and challenging societal norms around LGBTQ+ identity, trans rights, body politics, and queer liberation.
At the heart of Boys R Us was Dante Celeiro, now the Executive Director of Fluxx Productions. As the troupe’s Manager, Dante organized, directed, and produced performances that broke barriers and created space for queer artistry. From there, the work expanded, hosting art shows, poetry nights, open mics, dance performances, and community gatherings that amplified marginalized voices and built new networks of care.
Out of this growth, Fluxx Productions was born. Carrying forward the legacy of Boys R Us, Fluxx has evolved into a home for art, activism, and community support. Today, our work centers on three core programs that promote advocacy, cultural expression, and mutual aid; always with the goal of creating safe, empowering spaces where all voices are celebrated.
Looking ahead, our ultimate vision is to establish a queer cultural center in Tucson that houses nonprofits and community programs under one roof. Fluxx is more than event production, we are a movement for change, fostering connection and empowering communities to thrive.

Land Acknowledgment
We acknowledge that the land on which Fluxx Productions operates is the ancestral territory of the Tohono O'odham and Yaqui peoples.
