School of Drag

Since its inception in 2017, School of Drag has emerged as a beacon of intergenerational gender performance, uniting participants from diverse backgrounds in a transformative journey of artistic and creative expression. This pioneering program founded by Frankie Heightchew-Howard (PIRANHA)  transcends the realm of drag, delving deep into its rich history and profound impact on the LGBTQ+ community and society at large.

Beyond performance, School of Drag offers a sanctuary for those grappling with identity, body dysphoria, and acceptance, providing a safe and nurturing space for exploration and empowerment. Each season culminates in a public showcase, a jubilant celebration of the participants' accomplishments. The 2024 spring showcase, saw a gathering of 93 family members, friends, and community members, all united in celebrating the transformative journey of the participants.
