About Us
Our Mission:
Fluxx empowers LGBTQ+ communities, with a special focus on Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (QTBIPOC), through arts, activism, and mutual aid. We create safe and inclusive spaces that celebrate diversity, amplify marginalized voices, and inspire social change, fostering collective liberation and community resilience.
Our Story:
Fluxx Productions began with a bold and transformative vision rooted in Tucson’s queer community. It all started with a groundbreaking group called Boys R Us—a gender performance troupe made up of drag kings, queens, and everything in between. These performances became a bold platform for raising awareness and challenging societal norms around LGBTQ+ identity, making visible the issues of trans rights, body politics, and queer liberation.
At the heart of Boys R Us was Dante Celeiro, now the Executive Director of Fluxx Productions. Dante served as the Manager of Boys R Us, organizing, directing, and producing their performances. As the group evolved, Dante began hosting community events, including art shows, poetry and open mic nights, dance performances, and community gatherings.
From these early efforts, Fluxx was born—a space where art, activism, and community support intersect. Fluxx Productions carries forward this legacy, creating safe, empowering spaces where all voices are celebrated. Our work is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to advocacy and creative expression.
Our ultimate goal is to establish a queer cultural center that houses other nonprofits and community programs, providing a safe and empowering space for Tucson's LGBTQ+ community. Through our three core programs, we promote advocacy, cultural expression, and mutual aid.
Fluxx is more than event production—we're a movement for change, fostering connections and empowering communities to thrive.

Our Vision:
To create a queer cultural center that serves as a hub for nonprofits, community programs, and creative expression.

Land Acknowledgment
We acknowledge that the land on which Fluxx Productions operates is the ancestral territory of the Tohono O'odham and Yaqui peoples. We recognize the ongoing relationship these Indigenous communities have with their lands and commit to honoring their presence, past and present, in our work and in our community spaces.
